Primary education is offered at both the White Rock and Kewarra Beach Campus for students in Prep to Year 6. Primary education nurtures personal growth and the development of foundational skills. We also promote the pursuit of academic excellence, self-confidence, community service and leadership.
The relationships between students, staff, parents and the community are all highly valued. Through these strong relationships and effective communication, each child’s needs are understood and educators can cater to the individual. Teachers use various forms of assessment to build each student’s learning profile and determine what is needed for academic excellence and personal growth.
A key focus of primary education at Trinity Anglican ÑÇÖÞ³ÉÈËÍø is fostering a student’s love for learning by developing the foundational skills to become confident and creative individuals.
This is done through nurturing curiosity, openness to new experiences, versatility and encouraging perseverance and optimism when faced with new challenges.
By instilling these qualities, students will develop confidence in themselves, their work and their future.

The wellbeing and support of students is a key focus of educators and support staff at TAS. The Primary ÑÇÖÞ³ÉÈËÍø has a wellness program at each campus – White Rock’s Care and Connect Program and Kewarra Beach’s Kind Kids Program – which are supported by internal and external resources, including pastoral care initiatives, a school counsellor and our very own trained therapy dog (a Dachshund named Kevin). Students are also taught skills to regulate and monitor their own wellbeing but also those of their peers, creating an all-for-one and one-for-all culture.
Diagnostic testing and programs enable TAS educators to tailor a student’s learning program to their strengths and weaknesses.
Progressive Assessment
Ongoing feedback is provided to students and parents regarding both formative and summative assessment, using the research of Professor John Hattie as the guiding principle.
Progressive Achievement Tests (PAT)
A series of tests that provides objective information to teaches about their student’ skills and understanding of Mathematics, Science and English.
At Trinity Anglican ÑÇÖÞ³ÉÈËÍø, technology has been embedded throughout the academic and co-curricular program since the 1980s. In fact, in 1996, TAS received a letter of commendation from Bill Gates (Chairman and CEO of Microsoft) for our one-to-one laptop program.
However, while technology is pivotal to TAS’ success, it is designed to enhance our programs rather than replace the foundational skills that should be learnt in primary school, such as literacy and numeracy.
By integrating technology in this way, it allows the curriculum to be innovative and individualised for each student, while ensuring they have the skill set required to survive without it.
